SWC Membership does not auto-renew. 

We’re beginning to charge for Membership from July 2022.

We are currently updating the members area on our website and we look forward to providing your with membership content in the near future.

Through your annual subscription, the Scottish Writers’ Centre will be able to:

• bring you the best of up-and-coming and established writers to our literary events;
• develop our programme across Scotland;
• fund administration costs; and present a wide array of literary events.

Membership gives you:

• free or reduced-cost access to our events;
• early bird booking for workshops and other events;
• participation in official Scottish Writers’ Centre events at literary festivals;
• participation in our regular and hugely popular Speakeasy events to share your work;
• reductions on Scottish Writers’ Centre books and competitions;
• a regular members newsletter (email address needed);
• log-in to Members’ Area on the Scottish Writers’ Centre website;
• the chance to influence the future direction of the Scottish Writers’ Centre.

We’ve been working hard to improve the SWC membership experience to help you truly move the needle with your writing progress.

Our ‘Pay What You Can/Decide’ model is at the heart of everything we do. We are deeply committed to making our events accessible to everyone in the community, ensuring that financial barriers never stand in the way. Every guest receives the exact same warm welcome, and we actively encourage anyone who needs it to select our free ticket option.

We are working on a smaller payment method for membership too.
