‘In Process’ Masterclass – with Aonghas Macneacail
In the second of our musically orientated events, renowned Gaelic poet Aonghas Macneacail will talk about the differences between writing poetry and songs.
Aonghas is a poet, and songwriter, in three languages (his native Gaelic, as well as English and Scots). He is an experienced performer of his own work, and has held several Creative Writing Residencies (both academic and community based). Aonghas has an extensive track record in school workshopping, and his poetry has taken him to Japan, the Arctic Circle, and the Capitol in Rome, among many other destinations. Aonghas’ poems have been translated into German, Italian, Irish-Gaelic, French, Hebrew, Finnish, and Serbo-Croat.
Tickets: £6 (£3 concessions). Free to SWC members.
