Tuesday 18th March 2014; 7pm to 8.30pm,
CCA Club Room, Glasgow:

Spring Speakeasy

swc-events

An evening of recitals, with poetry and short stories in English, Gaelic, and Scots, from SWC members. Reading one’s own work is a vital experience, as a means to gain feedback and cultivate a distinct voice. Everyone is welcome, members and non-members alike; stop by, and experience new literature in action.

With readings from Colette Coen, Brian Wright, Ingrid Lees, Derek Parkes, John McGlade, Peter Russell, Barbara Brown, Beverley MacFarlane, Kady Reilly, Lesley Benzie, Ann Mackinnon, Frances Corr, Paula Khan, Orla Macdonald, Lesley McKay, and Mary Thomson.

The Scottish Writers’ Centre is a countrywide resource, which supports national writers and promotes Scotland’s vibrant literary culture. Operated solely by volunteers, the SWC is therefore by writers, for writers – the organisation provides a space for writers to meet, share ideas and experiences about the craft, and learn from those further advanced.

This is a free event, open to all.
