Sectarianism and Cakes

By 15/03/2014December 11th, 2018No Comments

Magi Gibon’s Mixing the Colours workshop, at The Glasgow Women’s Libary, was a terrific success. Magi had the audience engage in writing exercises (involving associations with green and blue); afterwards, much discussion was given over to significant memories of sectarian incidents (which often turned out to be theologically orientated, rather than merely football focused).

After delicious cakes and tea, ideas were discussed for a piece of writing – short story, poem, creative non-fiction – on which we had fifteen minutes to get started. Receiving some great advice from Magi, and feedback from other participants, we were able to truly create – in the moment.
