‘In Process’ Masterclass with Liz Lochhead

Liz Lochhead, Scots Makar 2011 and “Scotland’s greatest living dramatist”, leads a masterclass on the creative process and the craft of playwriting. Come and be inspired, by a writer of significant warmth and power.

Liz has authored numerous volumes of lauded poetry, including Memo For Spring (1972), Dreaming Frankenstein (1984), and Bagpipe Muzak (1991). She has also received international acclaim for her plays such as Fire and Ice (1982), Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off (1989), and her adaptations and translations of plays by Moliere and Euripides.

The SWC’s ‘In Process’ Masterclasses provide an opportunity to explore the craft and the creative process with a professional writer, drawn from our extensive diaspora of patrons and supporters. Readings, discussions, and book signings comprise the events. Our In Process series is supported by the Scottish Book Trust, Glasgow City Council, and Glasgow Life.

Tickets: £6 (£3 for SWC members and concessions).
